Snapshot of the Presidential Candidates’ Health Care Plans

Below is a link to a factbox comparing Obama’s health care plan with McCain’s:

The candidates disagree on some fundamental points such as how to reduce health care spending and which legal reforms are best (Obama supports reliance on the antitrust laws while McCain opts for private tort reform).  Even so, they have some objectives in common such as promoting preventative public health measures, walk-in clinics, electronic medical records, and coordination of care.

What do you think about McCain’s plan to cut tax breaks for employer-provided insurance?  Or Obama’s plan to tax employers who do not provide insurance and use that money to allow individuals to buy insurance that is similar to that provided to federal employees?
