Rule of Law co-hosted “Intractable problems? Achieving long-term change through legal education”

Stanford, CA. The Rule of Law Program and International Law Society co-hosted a lunch panel featuring future leaders from several countries the rest of the world readily dismisses as “hopeless.” The panel shared their perspectives as law students and graduates from countries facing profound socioeconomic, political, legal, and security challenges. They discussed the issues that compelled them to study law, compared their legal education to SLS, and talked about their hopes for their countries’ respective futures.
