Religious Liberty Clinic Hosts High-Profile Justice Department Roundtable

On Monday, the Stanford Law School Religious Liberty Clinic hosted a law-and-religion roundtable featuring the head of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division, Anita Gupta; the five U.S. Attorneys from California and Idaho; and dozens of civil-rights, community, and faith leaders. The discussion focused on combating religious discrimination in education, and featured efforts and proposals to address the many related challenges facing students inside and outside the classroom – particularly for those of minority faiths. The program was the capstone of a five-part nationwide series on religious freedom organized by the Justice Department. Participants praised the Religious Liberty Clinic and its students for their work in the field.
