Kanan Dhru, LawToons & the Hague Institute for Innovation in Law (HiiL). Lawtoons is one of its kind project that uses illustrations to make laws and legal rights in India easier to understand as well as fun to learn. HiiL is a social enterprise devoted to user-friendly justice. That means justice that is easy to access, easy to understand, and effective. HiiL will ensure that by 2030, 150 million people will be able to prevent or resolve their most pressing justice problems.

Supriya Sankaran, Vayam & the Agami Prize. Vayam focuses on finding and nurturing legal innovators and citizens through lean and selective processes like the Agami Prize, and Youth Hackathons. Its first E-ADR challenge in February 2019 is inviting changemakers to develop a technology-driven institution that will enable large volumes of disputes to be resolved online through arbitration and other mechanisms of alternate dispute resolution, including mediation and conciliation.

Hrishikesh Datar, Vakilsearch. Vakilsearch is a technology-driven platform organizing the professional services industry in India. It’s services cover all the legal needs of businesses, such as incorporation, government registrations & filings, accounting, documentation and annual compliances. It also offers a wide range of services to individuals, such as property agreements and tax filing. Its mission is to provide one-click access to individuals and businesses for all their legal & professional needs.
