This course will focus on the liability of intermediaries such as Internet service providers, search engines, and web sites for content created or posted by others. Topics will include intellectual property, tort, and criminal liability. The course will cover international as well as U.S. liability. Students are expected to write and present a research paper during the course of the quarter. Special Instructions: For reasons of pedagogy, students on the waitlist for the course will be admitted if spots are available on the basis of priority, degree of study and class level.
