Fernán is a Research Fellow at the Rock Center for Corporate Governance, focusing on Corporate Law, Financial Regulation and Securities Regulation. Fernán is also a Ph.D. candidate in Development at Cambridge University and holds a J.S.D. from Stanford Law School, an LL.M. from Harvard Law School, an M.Sc. in Statistics from Stanford University, an LL.B. from Universidad Javeriana, and a B.A. in Economics from Universidad de los Andes. At Stanford, Fernán has also been a John M. Fellow in Law and Economics, Gregory Terrill Cox Fellow in Law and Economics, and recipient of the John Hart Ely Prize in Law and Economics.
