Biography
Julie joined Stanford Law School in February 2020 as a member of the External Relations Team and brings over a dozen years of major gift experience in support of scholarships, programs and research. Julie eagerly serves with dedicated SLS colleagues, faculty and donors on behalf of the best and brightest law students.
Prior to Stanford Law, Julie was Senior Associate Director of Development for the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, working with MD alumni as well as creating and implementing engagement strategies for the school’s premier MD-PhD Program. In these roles, she established a reputation for building and maintaining strong relationships with distinguished alumni, faculty and colleagues. Prior to her non-profit career, Julie served for over a decade in business development and operations roles for a Fortune 500 financial institution.
Julie earned a M.A. from the University of Delaware, Executive Certificates in Non-profit Management, and Health Care Leadership & Management from the Lilly School of Philanthropy and the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School respectively. She is currently working toward a CAP® Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy certification.
Having lived and worked in the mid-Atlantic for many years, she was thrilled to become a Californian. Living in the Bay Area from 2020-2023, she and her husband explored the many wonders of the state, in particular, its scenic and challenging golf courses. In 2024, Julie transitioned to Florida for family reasons, and continues to work remotely for Stanford Law.
