Nehal Madhani is an attorney and the founder and CEO of Alt Legal. Am Law 200 firms, boutique firms, and public companies depend on Alt Legal’s cloud-based software to automatically create and manage thousands of IP filings daily. Before starting Alt Legal, Nehal practiced as an attorney at Kirkland & Ellis, LLP. He is also a self-taught Python/Django developer and the co-organizer of Django-NYC, an organization with nearly 2,500 software developers.
Nehal speaks and writes regularly about the application of technology to legal practice. He has also co-authored several publications about the challenges of applying current antitrust laws to online business models, which have appeared in the Huffington Post and in the Journal of Management and Information Systems.
Nehal has a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, a Certificate in Business and Public Policy from the Wharton School of Business, and a B.A. from Northwestern University. He graduated Northwestern University with a double major in biology and economics.
