Sara Peters is Co-Director of the Trial Skills Program and coach of the mock trial team at Stanford Law School. She is a practicing trial lawyer at Walkup, Melodia, Kelly & Schoenberger, one of the oldest personal injury law firms in Northern California. She represents severely injured individuals in cases involving defective products and medical devices, aviation crashes, dangerous conditions of property, medical negligence, vehicular negligence, nursing home abuse, sexual assault, police abuse, and other wrongdoing.
Sara received her B.A. (Philosophy and Middle Eastern Studies) summa cum laude from UCLA, and received her J.D. from Stanford Law School in 2008. When she isn’t representing clients, Sara volunteers as Vice Chair of the Bar Association of San Francisco’s Barristers Litigation Committee, as Co-Chair of the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association Education Committee, as contributing editor of the Rutter Group’s Claims and Defenses Practice Guide, and as Co-Director of Attorneys Bettering the Community, a local nonprofit of attorneys volunteering in hands-on ways. Since 2013, she has been peer nominated as a Northern California Super Lawyers Rising Star – a distinction given to fewer than 2.5 percent of the state’s lawyers.
