Sarah Weinstein is a licensed psychotherapist and a former lawyer. She has a private practice in Berkeley, where she specializes in seeing law students, lawyers, doctors, and other professionals. Her consulting and therapy services are grounded in her legal and corporate background, complemented by advanced academic and extensive clinical training in psychology. She also utilizes and recommends effective wellness techniques, such as meditation and mindfulness. In addition to her private practice, she serves on the Board of Directors of the Psychotherapy Institute in Berkeley.
Before becoming a psychotherapist, Sarah worked as a litigation associate in the New York and San Francisco offices of Morrison & Foerster, and as an associate in the Supreme Court and Appellate practice at Mayer Brown in Palo Alto. She served as a law clerk for Judge Steven S. Trott, United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and Magistrate Judge Wayne D. Brazil, United States District Court for the Northern District of California.
Sarah received her BA in Sociology cum laude from Bryn Mawr College, her JD magna cum laude from the University of California, Hastings, and her MA in Counseling Psychology from the Wright Institute in Berkeley. She graduated from the Post-Graduate Advanced Clinical Training Program at The Psychotherapy Institute.
