Biography
Susan Salkind is assistant director of the Stanford Program in Law, Science & Technology (LST) and its constituent center, CodeX – The Stanford Center for Legal Informatics, and a CodeX fellow. Working at the intersection of digital transformation and regulation to improve the quality, efficiency, and accessibility of public and private governance systems, she is a a key contributor to CodeX’s computable contracts effort and the CodeX Insurance Initiative; helped to found the Stanford Computational Policy Lab; and leads collaborations between LST, CodeX, and various teams across campus, including Stanford Engineering’s Digital Cities Program. A former member of Stanford’s cross-campus Research Development (RD) Taskforce, she currently serves on the university’s RD Community outreach committee, and as a staff affiliate at Stanford Data Science institute’s Center for Open and Reproducible Science. She has a special interest in research competitive intelligence and open science initiatives to foster cross-disciplinary collaboration.
