SUMMARY:AI Priorities for Boards of Directors 2.0
DESCRIPTION:This five-part online course provides board directors\, executive officers and legal counsel with a practical\, board-level framework for understanding and overseeing AI as it rapidly becomes a core enterprise capability. Participants will examine how the AI landscape is evolving and build a working foundation in the technologies\, business models\, and capabilities shaping adoption today.  \nDATES: \n\nSeptember 23\nOctober 7\nOctober  21\nNovember 4\nNovember 18\n\nThe course moves from AI fundamentals to governance\, including a practical governance checklist and the distinct oversight challenges presented by AI-native companies; explores AI economics\, costs\, metrics\, tokenomics\, and ROI so leaders can better evaluate investment and performance; and addresses the expanding landscape of AI-enabled cybersecurity threats\, data risks\, and enterprise vulnerabilities. It also examines the evolving regulatory\, legal\, fiduciary\, and liability environment surrounding AI. Throughout the course\, directors and officers will develop the vocabulary\, questions\, metrics\, and governance frameworks needed to challenge management constructively\, assess AI-related opportunities and risks\, establish appropriate accountability\, and make more informed strategic decisions about where AI is creating—or potentially destroying—enterprise value. \nImportantly\, this is the second iteration of the course\, building on and expanding the topics addressed in the first. It reflects the rapidly evolving AI landscape\, with updated coverage of the technologies\, governance frameworks\, regulatory developments\, risks\, and strategic considerations that are shaping how boards oversee AI today.\n\nhttps://law.stanford.edu/event/ai-priorities-for-boards-of-directors-2-0-2/\n\nThis event is open to the public.\n\nRegsiter to Attend: https://stanford.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_c_vQQv5pT8SCg_vOJJTdJQ#/registration
