Jordana Mosten advocates for low income clients as a Deputy Public Defender at the Los Angeles County Office of the Public Defender. Previously, she represented Central American children fleeing gang violence as a Staff Attorney in the Immigrants’ Rights Project at Public Counsel, a legal services non-profit organization in Koreatown. Ms. Mosten joined Public Counsel as a Skadden Fellow – during her fellowship Ms. Mosten obtained legal status for immigrant survivors of domestic violence. Prior to joining Public Counsel, Ms. Mosten served as a law clerk to the Honorable John A. Mendez in the Eastern District of California. Ms. Mosten received her Juris Doctorate from Stanford Law School and her Bachelor of Arts from Rice University. Ms. Mosten is the proud daughter of a Mexican immigrant and is a LA native.
