Selena Kyle heads the Chicago branch of the Litigation Team at the Natural Resources Defense Council. She works to defend EPA’s new carbon-pollution regulations for new and existing power plants and to challenge oil and gas development that threatens sensitive communities and scarce water supplies. Her past work includes successful lawsuits to block a California state budget raid of $155 million in energy efficiency fund and to protect neighbors of a rural Tennessee landfill from toxic contamination that has leached into their household water supplies and air. In 2012, a California legal newspaper named Selena one of the state’s top 50 lawyers in their first decade of practice. Before joining NRDC, Selena clerked for Judge Susan Dlott on the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. She attended Stanford Law School and University.
