About the Attorney General’s Honors Program
The Attorney General’s Honors Program is a highly competitive program for recent law school graduates and newly admitted lawyers who are committed to public service. Honors Program attorneys will work with Department experts on important issues involving criminal justice, consumer protection, preserving the environment, maintaining a fair marketplace, and, above all, preserving the rule of law. They will have the opportunity to receive on-the-job instruction and mentorship advice from some of the most senior members of the Attorney General’s Office, draft legal pleadings, gain courtroom experience, and assist with policy work. Additionally, they will attend events that introduce them to all aspects of the work performed at the Attorney General’s Office. For the 2019-2021 program, participants will be based in Northern California (Sacramento, San Francisco, or Oakland).
