Matt Ritter
Stand Up Comedian – Host – Writer – Producer
Matt Ritter recently traded big law for the big stage. He graduated from the University Pennsylvania Law School and worked as a corporate lawyer at both Kirkland and Ellis and Mayer Brown before leaving the law to pursue a career in entertainment.
Matt’s voice can be heard both behind the camera as well as in front, center stage. Behind the camera, Matt is a TV producer on various shows including A&E’s “Duck Dynasty” (highest rated unscripted show in the history of cable television) and “Fat N’ Furious” (Discovery Channel). He is also the co-creator of the television series “Chained to My Ex” which premiered on MSNBC recently to rave reviews.
Matt can also be seen in front of large audiences regularly performing at the Hollywood Improv, the Comedy Store and the Gotham Comedy Club. His standup has been featured on “Man Up Standup” on the Maverick channel and has recently participated in the Big Sky Comedy Festival, the Ventura Harbor Comedy Festival and the New York Underground Comedy Festival. Matt has also starred in a national Sears commercial and a digital series about the law called the Bottom Rung that won multiple awards at the LA Web Festival. His viral video “Goldfellas” was featured on Comedy.com, Dealbreaker, Fierce Finance, the Wallstreet Journal online and WPIX News.
Additionally, Matt is a contributor, host and writer: Matt has been a guest commentator on various programs (CBS News, Fox News “On the Record”, NBC, MTV.com, ComedyTime TV, and Askmen.com), has guest hosted (Sirius XM “Raw Dog” Comedy) and is a writer for various publications (Readers Digest, US Weekly (Fashion Police), Crushable, Post Grad Problems, Above the Law, Bitter Lawyer)
Matt also tours the country at speaking engagements for colleges, corporate events, casinos, military shows and Jewish organizations. Aside from making fun of the legal profession, Matt frequently focuses his humor on his hotheaded Israeli father, his eccentric mother, and the fact that all of his decisions in life are now based on what works best for his French bulldog. Matt is a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity and the PAD Legal Fraternity.
Liz Stone
Lawyer and Comedian
Liz Stone is stand-up comedian based in San Francisco. She performs throughout the country, entertaining audiences with her unique perspective on her corporate career. Liz is a former litigator who practiced with Pillsbury Winthrop and Goodwin Procter, and is now a legal recruiter with the Dubin Group in San Francisco. She was voted one of “America’s Funniest Lawyers.”
Marc Galanter
Professor of Law Emeritus, University of Wisconsin Law School
Professor Galanter was a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Delhi, a Fellow of the American Institute of Indian Studies and consultant on legal services to the Ford Foundation in India. He has lectured at more than eighty universities in the United States and abroad. He has taught South Asian Law, Law and Social Science, Legal Profession, Religion and the Law, Contracts, Dispute Processing and Negotiations. He has authored numerous books and articles related to law, the legal profession and the provision of legal services in India.
