Matt Coles, Deputy National Legal Director of the ACLU and former Director of the ACLU National LGBT Rights Project, will discuss the past, present, and future of LGBT rights movement. He will discuss his role as counsel on Romer v. Evans, the landmark case that struck down Colorado's statewide ban on local non-discrimination laws, and his work on cases challenging Don't Ask Don't Tell, as well as the remarkable progress on marriage equality and what it means and doesn't mean for the broader movement.
