We are excited to welcome Enid Muthoni Ndiga, Senior Vice President, Global Legal Program at the Center for Reproductive Rights to speak on:

Global discourse on sexual reproductive health and rights: Trends, opportunities and imperatives.

Enid leads and oversees the Center’s four regional programs based in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Europe, as well as the Center’s global advocacy work at the United Nations.

A Kenyan national, Enid has more than 20 years of experience in the fields of law, development, human rights, gender and women’s rights.  Before joining the Center, Enid served as Regional Manager for Africa at the International Development Law Organization (IDLO), the only intergovernmental organization exclusively devoted to promoting the rule of law.  At IDLO, Enid oversaw programs across seven countries in Africa.

Prior to her leadership position at IDLO headquarters in Rome, Enid was the IDLO Country Director in Kenya for five years.  She has also worked for the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Norwegian Church Aid, the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights, and the Federation of Women Lawyers, FIDA Kenya.  She began her legal career as a litigator in private practice.

Enid has lived and worked in Europe and Africa and has developed strong networks in those regions as well as Asia, cultivating and developing partnerships with complex stakeholders, including governments, academia, and civil society.

She received a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Nairobi, a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law, and an MA in Gender and Development from the University of Nairobi.
