Legal Research Skills for Policy Analysis Workshop

This hands-on research workshop will discuss resources and strategies on conducting policy-related legal research from start to finish, focusing on statutes, regulations, and secondary resources. The workshop is excellently suited for anyone interested in improving their legal research skills, researching the statutory and regulatory framework surrounding policy questions, and getting started with policy research. This workshop is part of the “Elements of Policy Analysis” (LAW 7846) workshop series but all are welcome to attend!

Presenters:

KATIE OTT
Katie Ott joined Stanford Law School as a reference librarian in January 2018. Before coming to Stanford, Katie worked Harvard Law School’s Library Innovation Lab, where she studied the feasibility of crowdsourcing legal information. In addition, Katie worked as a Law Librarian with AccuFile, providing legal research services to law firms throughout the greater Boston area. Katie received her JD from Wake Forest School of Law in 2016, and she is a member of the New Jersey Bar.

KEVIN ROTHENBERG
Kevin Rothenberg joined the Stanford Law School as a reference librarian in June 2018. Before coming to Stanford, Kevin was the 2017-2018 law library fellow at the Wake Forest University School of Law, where he provided research and reference services to faculty and students, and taught introductory legal research. Kevin received his JD from Wake Forest in 2017.
