On Wednesday, February 21st, the Stanford Entertainment and Sports Law Association (SESLA) and the Stanford Intellectual Property Association (SIPA) will host a lunch talk with Jason Porta, a Product Counsel at Youtube. Jason’s bio is as follows:
Jason Porta is a Product Counsel at YouTube in San Bruno, CA. Jason has a wide-ranging legal practice at YouTube, with a particular focus on privacy and data protection issues. Before joining the YouTube legal team, Jason was a Product Counsel at Google, working on personalized advertising and various e-commerce products. Prior to Google, Jason was an Intellectual Property Counsel at the National Basketball Association, serving as their lead advertising and marketing attorney and handling global IP enforcement for the league and all NBA teams. He also has experience as a litigator at a prominent law firm in New York, representing media and technology companies in the fields of First Amendment, right of publicity, and copyright. Jason studied Economics at Harvard College and law at the New York University School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in New York and Massachusetts, and is a Registered In-House Counsel in California.
