The Marion Rice Kirkwood Moot Court Competition Semifinals will be help on Friday, January 22 at 4:00 pm in the Moot Court room. The judges on the panel are Haywood Gilliam (SLS 1994) and Beth Labson Freeman of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and Judge Andrew Guilford of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.

The semifinals teams will be determined by Wednesday evening. The case is Nguyen v. State of North Dakota and involves the issue of whether a warrantless dog sniff in the common hallways of a multi-unit apartment building is a search under the Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution.
