A teach-in about the current events in Palestine and Israel. Why did the Israeli government attack Gaza, and how was it connected to the attempted expulsion of Palestinians from east Jerusalem earlier this month? We situate these developments in the context of a landmark Human Rights Watch report accusing Israel of committing the crimes of apartheid and persecution against Palestinians. We also consider how the U.S. is responsible for these ongoing violations of international law.
