5:30 – 6:00 pm Reception | 6:00 – 7:00 pm Panel
The twin efforts of board diversity and general board member refreshment, all with the goal of better board performance, are now generally taken as a given in the “best practices” world of corporate governance. However, many boards (and experts) get mired in the “why” of board refreshment, recruitment, and performance improvement — and spend too little time on the more difficult “how” of implementing strategies to recruit and retain the best board members. This session is meant for those that want to know how to ensure they are building the best performing board of directors for their company and shareholders. The panel of experts will identify and sometimes debate the tactics they’ve deployed to ensure they find, get, and keep the best boardroom talent.
