DESCRIPTION:Please join the Stanford Entertainment and Sports Law Association (SESLA) and O’Melveny & Myers in this exciting lunch talk about entertainment and sports law within Big Law. Joining us will be OMM partners\, Ben Aronson and Timothy Heafner. \n\nBen Aronson is the Co-Head of O’Melveny’s Sports Group and a partner in the firm’s New York Office. Prior to O’Melveny\, Ben worked as in-house counsel at the National Basketball Association\, most recently serving as Vice President & Assistant General Counsel of Litigation & Player Matters. At the NBA\, he oversaw all global commercial litigation for the league and its affiliated entities\, successfully managing the NBA’s defense in a wide range of areas\, including privacy\, antitrust\, consumer class actions\, mass arbitration\, intellectual property\, cryptocurrency\, torts\, and sports betting.\n\nTim Heafner is a partner in the firm’s Century City Office. He has represented and advised major motion-picture studios\, television studios\, television networks\, production companies\, streaming platforms\, and other entertainment and media companies in connection with a wide variety of disputes concerning dozens of hit television series and motion pictures.
