SLS and GSB Networking Reception and Talk by Gui Telles, GSB ’14 (CMO and CSO of PicPay; former Head of Brazil at Uber).
The Stanford Law School Brazil alumni chapter invites Stanford law and business alumni to join them for a networking reception at Filó Bar in São Paulo. There will be a brief talk by Gui Telles, MBA ’14, the CMO and CSO of PicPay about the story and challenges of implementing Uber in Brazil. Gui is currently the CMO and CSO of PicPay. Before joining the company he worked as a partner at Canary and Altantico, two of the largest VC funds in the region. He also spent 6 years at Uber, first as the Head of Brazil and most recently leading the global operations at JUMP, Uber’s micromobility business. As the Head of Brazil, he launched, built and ran the business, turning it into Uber’s largest ridesharing market with a team of more than 1,000 people. At JUMP, he expanded the business from a few cities in the US to close to 50 markets spread across US/C, EMEA, APAC, and Latam managing a budget of hundreds of millions of dollars. Before Uber, Gui worked at The Boston Consulting Group, Peixe Urbano and Monashees Capital.
Gui holds an MBA from Stanford University and a bachelor’s degree in business from FGV-SP. He also studied at HEC-Paris and Sup de Co Montpellier, both in France. He was appointed by Forbes and Exame as one of the most influential CEOs in Brazil.
