On Thursday, February 11, we hope you and your family will join Dean Martinez, Professor Weisberg, the Office of Alumni Relations, the Office of Student Affairs, and your fellow classmate at a virtual Swearing-In Ceremony for Stanford Law School alumni who have passed the California State Bar exam. The ceremony will admit you to the California State Bar and administer the federal oath. The federal oath will be administered by District Judge Haywood Gilliam, JD ’94, United States District Court for the Northern District of California. The state oath will be administered by Associate Justice Allison Danner, JD ’97 of the California Court of Appeal, Sixth District.
We encourage you to invite your family and friends to share in the celebration of this milestone by joining with the webinar link provided in the email confirmation.
The State Bar will mail you a packet of paperwork in accordance with your exam results. Please hold onto your blank oath card until after the ceremony. There will be an information session immediately after the ceremony detailing the instructions for your oath card. If you have already been sworn in but would like to participate in the ceremony, please register and add a note in the comments section.
For more information on registering, please contact the SLS Office of Alumni Relations at alumni.relations@law.stanford.edu.
