Join us for a Rock Center sponsored roundtable lunch conversation with Professor Matias Zegers. Mr. Zegers will discuss corporate governance trends and practice in Chile and Latin America.
Matias Zegers is an expert in the fields of corporate governance, corporate and securities law and venture capital in Chile. He is a Professor of Law at P. Universidad Católica de Chile Law School since 1997, where he heads the Corporate Law Department. He is also the founder and current Executive Chairman of the Centro de Gobierno Corporativo UC, a leading Chilean corporate governance center and joint initiative between PUC’s Business and Law Schools.
Professor Zegers has written several articles about corporate governance of public, private and state-owned companies. He is the co-author with R. Guerrero of the book “Manual de Derecho de Sociedades” (Ediciones UC, 2015). Professor Zegers has been invited several times to participate in different Chilean National Congress legislative committees to advise in matters of his area of expertise and is a member of different Task Forces of the OECD in issues related to corporate governance.
