Aimée Craft will join us to speak about community-engaged research focusing on sustainable water governance and indigenous law. (See decolonizingwater.ca.) Aimée is an accomplished legal scholar, and is currently writing on indigenous water law in the Anishinaabe context (Canada). This includes writing about ecological sources of law and Anishinaabe treaty making with water bodies.
Please join NALSA as we partner with Sibyl Diver and Water in the West, a program of the Stanford Woods Institute for the Environment, to bring both this international and indigenous perspective on water management. An hour-long presentation will be followed by an hour-long reception.
