Launching via a website and newsletter in summer 2023, and already hosting sneak peek events, the Career Network will be a resource for students interested in career paths in neuroscience and society fields such as neuroethics, neurolaw, neuromarketing, educational neuroscience, and many more. At present, a formal network does not exist and as a result few young people know about these fields and opportunities. With a one year pilot grant from the Dana Foundation, the Network is seeking to do three things: (1) recruit new people, especially from institutions and geographies that have not been reached before, to engage in neuroscience and society work; (2) create and communicate new opportunities for fostering and sustaining work in neuroscience and society; and (3) connect people + opportunities to help foster new careers. This event will inform Stanford students of these opportunities.
