The federal government instituted affirmative action policies in an effort to improve opportunities for groups that have been subjected to discrimination. Right now, two cases are under review before the Supreme Court to determine whether universities can continue to use race-conscious admissions policies. Join Professor Richard Ford, ’88, and alumni moderator Bacardi Jackson, ’93, to learn about the cases under review and gain a perspective on what’s next if affirmative action is declared unconstitutional and its impact on the future of higher education.
In preparation for this conversation, alumni are encouraged to read Derailed by Diversity by Richard Ford.
This event is open to Stanford Alumni and Affiliates.
The zoom link will be emailed to registrants a few hours before the event.
We invite the Stanford Law School community to attend this Stanford Alumni Association-sponsored event with SLS’s Professor Ford, ’88, as he and Bacardi Jackson, ’92, discuss Affirmative Action cases before the Supreme Court and Constitutional Law.
