Lunch will be served.
Please join us for a lunchtime discussion with two headline-making whistleblowers who have stood up, at great personal risk:
· Kathryn Bolkovac, whose story inspired the movie The Whistleblower starring Rachel Wiesz, who challenged human trafficking in Bosnia by U.N. peacekeepers
· Rick Piltz, who disclosed the George W. Bush administration’s censorship of climate science reports
The discussion will be framed by two national experts on whistleblowing from the Government Accountability Project (GAP):
· Bea Edwards, Executive & International Program Director
· Dana Gold, Attorney & Senior Fellow
GAP is the nation’s leading whistleblower protection and advocacy organization, which represents, among many others, Edward Snowden and four other NSA whistleblowers. GAP, a non-partisan, non-profit public interest group founded in 1977 and based in Washington, DC, litigates whistleblower cases, helps expose wrongdoing to the public, and actively promotes government and corporate accountability in such areas as food safety, banking, environmental protection and national security.
