This talk will track the regulatory trajectory of the first therapy approved by the FDA for early Alzheimer’s disease in spite of strong internal and external resistance. This will be attributed in part to FDA’s infrastructure and culture inhibiting the development of a case law tradition that would facilitate institutional learning and consistency.
