Organizations and Transactions Clinic

The Organizations and Transactions Clinic will be operating on a limited capacity basis during the 2023-24 academic year. Jay A. Mitchell, the founding director of the clinic, retired from that position as of September 1, 2023. He is continuing to teach at the Law School, including a new “introduction to transactional practice” course for first- and second-year students in the winter and spring quarters. Michelle Sonu, the Associate Director, will offer client representation opportunities to a limited number of students who participated in the clinic during the 2022-23 academic year, and is also teaching a policy lab. The Law School is fully committed to a transactional clinic and will be carrying out a national search for Professor Mitchell’s successor during the 2023-24 academic year. Please direct any questions to Michelle Sonu; her contact information is set out below.
