SUMMARY:Serendipity\, Curiosity\, and Creativity: How a Lawyer’s Life Really Works Internationally
DESCRIPTION:Interested in comparative international law\, nation-building\, or letting curiosity lead the way to a fulfilling career? Prof. Jenik Radon (JD ’71) will be speaking about his extensive work with emerging nations to open markets\, draft constitutions\, and gain independence. Paul Williams is one of the world’s leading experts on international law\, peace negotiations\, and post-conflict constitution drafting. He has advised over two dozen peace negotiations and helped shape constitutions in countries emerging from conflict\, including Kosovo\, Libya\, and Ukraine. Currently the Rebecca Grazier Professor of Law and International Relations at American University\, he has dedicated his career to using law as a tool for building sustainable peace and preventing mass atrocities.
