Durie Tangri’s merger with Morrison & Foerster takes effect this weekend, but one founding partner of the firm won’t be joining.

Stanford law professor Mark Lemley instead will be joining Lex Lumina PLLC, a five-lawyer IP boutique made up mostly of law professors who seek out impact IP litigation.

“I’m delighted to be joining a team of the smartest lawyers I know, working to make IP law better,” Lemley said.“They’re people I’ve known a long time. I’ve written articles with them, written amicus briefs with them.”
