In this audio clip with KQED, Professor William B. Gould discussed an appeals court decision rejecting plans to pay college athletes. 

There was a split decision today by the ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in a key case about whether some top college athletes should be paid.

The court said NCAA colleges cannot pay their players beyond the cost of attending the school. The ruling reverses a lower court ruling.
