In a statement, FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler said the ruling “ensures the internet remains a platform for unparalled innovation, free expression and economic growth.” RT America correspondent Manila Chan reports that the DC Circuit Court upheld the ruling despite heavy resistance from the telecom industry. Later, Barbara Van Schewick, professor of law at Stanford University, tells ‘News with Ed’ that the ruling is “a sweeping victory for all Americans, whether it’s the innovators or anybody that uses the Internet.”
