The UTA community will gather at nine different events on the week of Feb. 27 for the annual Diversity Week hosted by Multicultural Affairs. The series of events starting from Monday will celebrate diversity by offering educational programs and cultural showcases.

Diversity Week was created spring 2008 to acknowledge the growing diversity on campus and to promote different cultures and identities, Multicultural Affairs director Leticia Martinez said.

Two informative events about the LGBTQA community Tuesday will be followed by a lecture that welcomes Women’s History Month March 1. The lecture being conducted by Rabia Belt, Stanford Law School assistant professor, will focus on women’s suffrage and rights issues.
