Supreme Court Litigation Clinic is Co-counsel for Edith Windsor in DOMA Case

Petition For Writ Of Certiorari in Windsor v. United States

The Stanford Law School Supreme Court Litigation Clinic is co-counsel for Edith Windsor before the Supreme Court, regarding Windsor’s Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) challenge.  Windsor was the plaintiff in yesterday’s Second Circuit opinion finding Section 3 of DOMA unconstitutional.  For a detailed description of the ruling and the resulting procedural posture of the case, please see Lyle Denniston’s posting in SCOTUS Blog. Yesterday’s Second Circuit ruling may be found here.
