The Goldstone Report: a debate
March 28, 2011 event at Stanford Law School called, “The Goldstone Report: a debate”

The Goldstone Report: a debate was held at Stanford Law School on March 28, 2011 and has drawn much interest from around the world. The debate, organized by the Stanford International Law Society, centered on the 2009 Goldstone Report to the United Nation’s Human Rights Council about the conflict in Gaza. The report was named for Judge Richard Goldstone, a retired justice of the Constitutional Court of South Africa who has served as Chief Prosecutor of the Yugoslavia and Rwanda war crimes tribunals and who led the United Nations fact-finding mission on the Gaza conflict. (Richard Goldstone is a lecturer at Stanford Law School this quarter.)

On April 1, 2011, Judge Goldstone’s op-ed, Reconsidering the Goldstone Report on Israel and war crimes, was published in The Washington Post.  Because there is so much  interest from the public in the debate, and because the video recording has become a requested source for reporters and opinion writers, we are streaming it here, in its entirety, formatted for QuickTime.
