Access to Water in Israel and the Palestinian Territories

In this ongoing project, the International Human Rights and Conflict Resolution Clinic has documented access to and allocation of water resources between and among Israel, Israeli settlements, and Palestinian residents of the Occupied West Bank.  Successive teams have traveled to the region to meet with local NGOs, officials, municipalities, experts and communities that have been affected by severe water shortages.  The project seeks to document the allocation of water resources, study the legal framework governing such allocation, and recommend measures to ensure equitable and just access to water resources.
