Chris Bello (’21), Alyssa Epstein (’21), and Katelyn Masket (’21), in partnership with the Guernica Centre for International Justice, wrote a brief for Colombia’s Truth Commission detailing the international legal framework on state responsibility for acts of violence committed by various actors (including Colombia’s notorious paramilitary groups). Colombia’s Truth Commission is one of several transitional justice mechanisms convened as a part of a complex settlement that ended the 50-year armed conflict.
