This form is used to initiate a search for Law material that is missing from its shelf, items that were not discharged property, and items that are charged to a user, but the user claims never to have borrowed the title.

We will perform a missing item search for any item that is showing as available in the SearchWorks catalog, but was not found on the shelf. This form should not be used as a paging service.

We will search four times for the missing item. If found, we will hold the item at the Circulation Desk for you to pickup.

While we search, we recommend that you also submit an ILL request if you need a rush copy.

We will perform a claims returned search for any item that is showing as still charged to your MyAccount after you returned it.

We will search four times for the claims returned item. If found, we will remove the item from your account.

If not found, you will be contacted by Access Services to discuss replacement options. Generally, the replacement cost for Law Library is $150 or you may buy a hardbound, new copy as the replacement and pay a $25 processing fee.
