Juliet M. Brodie, professor of law and director of the Stanford 
Community Law Clinic since 2006, has been appointed the new 
associate dean for clinical education. In this position, Brodie takes on oversight of the broad offerings of the Mills Legal Clinic of Stanford Law School, which includes 11 clinics and one project—all focused on experiential legal education in diverse areas of legal practice.

Brodie’s career in clinical education spans 16 years. Before coming to Stanford Law School in 2006, she was an associate clinical professor at the University of 
Wisconsin Law School. She has served as a member of the editorial board of the Clinical Law Review and of the executive committee of the Section on Poverty Law at the AALS. She was co-chair of the AALS Clinical Education Section Subcommittee on Lawyering in the Public Interest.
