Grundfest Appointed to SEC Advisory Committee, Named to Directorship 100 List

Joseph A. Grundfest ’78, W. A. Franke Professor of Law and Business, was among the 16 individuals appointed to the Securities and Exchange Commission’s new accounting advisory committee. Announced by SEC Chairman Christopher Cox in July, the committee is charged with identifying ways to improve financial reporting and make it more accessible and useful to investors. Grundfest was also named to Directorship’s first annual “Directorship 100,” a list of the 100 most influential figures in corporate governance in America. Nominated by Directorship readers and a panel of 12 experts, the list was featured in the magazine’s September 2007 issue.
