Bernadette Meyler, JD ’03, the Carl and Sheila Spaeth Professor of Law, was appointed to the new position of associate dean for research and intellectual life last year. Meyler was also awarded one of the inaugural grants from the Changing Human Experience (CHE) initiative, which came out of the university’s Long-Range Vision. Through this grant, she will be leading a multidisciplinary team of faculty from across the university—including history, political science, law, and theater-—to explore the history of democracy from a humanistic perspective.
