Nathaniel Persily, JD ’98, the James B. McClatchy Professor of Law, was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, which honors exceptional scholars, leaders, artists, and innovators. He was also one of four Stanford scholars invited to join the Kofi Annan Foundation Commission on Democracy in the Digital Age. The commission’s mandate is to examine the impact of the internet and digital technology on election integrity, particularly in the Global South.
