This & That

• On Law Sites, Robert Ambrogi discusses Ravel Law‘s new features to its Judge Analytics tool. The upgrade includes the appellate judges from N.Y., Calif., Fla., Ill. and Delaware. The editions were enabled by new content from the Harvard-Ravel digitization project.  Also: greater functions, new design, and faster speed, Ambrogi notes. Lex Machina Upgrades Attorney Search Engine.  It improves its Attorney Search Engine “so users can more accurately track which attorneys work on any particular case.” —Gabe Friedman, Bloomberg BNA Big Law Business.

• “The Gender Pipeline Problem at Law Firms,” by Eric Sherman, special to BBBLB. Everybody whines about the lack of women chairs in Big Law, but “what about in middle management, a potential talent pipeline for top leadership positions to be filled in the next decade? The question surfaced in late January when BakerHostetler appointed Joann Gallagher Jones managing partner of its Atlanta office and Big Law Business sought more information. The answer proved hard to come by.”
