CodeX Book Club, Chapter 19

Congratuations to Kelvin Chin, with the launch of his new book, “Overcoming the Fear of Death (Through each of the four main belief systems).” I haven’t read it yet,  but I know Chin—and that’s enough for me to predict that it is a great book. So I’m giving him an honorary four-star (and I’m guessing many readers may pronounce it a five-star).

CodeX Book Club, Chapter 11: Robbie the Robot 6

Chin is the Executive Director and Founder of Overcoming the Fear of Death Foundation and TurningWithin.org.

I met him several years ago when he was in Boston at Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge. He got his J.D. at Boston College Law School, and also studied at Dartmouth College (B.A,), Université de Strasbourg and Yale Graduate School.

Chin’s eclectic education rivals his eclectic career. “He has lived and worked in six countries,” Chin notes in his linkedin profile.  He’s got tech in his bones—including president of AgreeOnline, a startup for alternative dispute resolution. (He was vice president of the American Arbitration Assocation for 10 years). He was a Visiting Instructor at MIT Sloan School of Management and Ombudsman at the Office of the President at MIT.

There’s more: Practice Director at H5; Consulting Director at RenewData; also Sales Director of Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice, just to name a few. He’s now a Nonprofit Executive Director, Grief Recovery Specialist, based in Austin.

Congratulations, Kelvin. This is a very important topic and I am sure that your new book  will bring comfort to many. I salute you for diving into this topic with your wit, wisdom and grace.
