Women of Legal Tech: Anna McGrane

Meet Anna McGrane, COO at PacerPro, whose legal career shifted when her brother asked her to fly to Texas for a conference, instead of going back to Beijing. The rest, as it goes, is history (at least so far.)

McGrane is the latest profile for the “Women of Legal Tech” series at Legaltech news. (Disclaimer: I compile the series.)

McGrane has unusual advice for young women: “Don’t pay too much attention to titles (yours or other people’s). Focus on opportunities where you are contributing to something that matters to you.”

She says she sometimes misses her law firm experience, but is leaving the future wide open.

“There are many days when I miss the predictability of the law firm trackā€”of knowing where I’d be and what I’d be doing. But the reality is, the things I have loved most in my life came from opportunities that arose along the way. What’s important is just that I still be doing work that I enjoy for an organization that cares about doing what’s right.”
